F.I.T. - FUNCTIONAL INTERVAL TRAINING

Combines elements of functional fitness exercises with interval training techniques. Functional fitness exercises focus on movements that mimic everyday activities, helping to improve strength, flexibility, and balance in ways that are relevant to daily life. These exercises often involve multiple muscle groups and joints working together.

Interval training, on the other hand, involves alternating periods of high-intensity exercise with periods of rest or lower-intensity activity. This approach is effective for improving cardiovascular fitness, burning calories, and boosting metabolism.

In this class, we will engage in a variety of exercises such as squats, lunges, kettlebell swings, push-ups, and core exercises, among others. The class structure involves performing each movement for a set amount of time or rep count, followed by a brief rest or active recovery period. This pattern of work and rest intervals continues throughout the duration of the class.

The combination of functional movements and interval training can provide a comprehensive workout that targets both strength and cardiovascular fitness, making it suitable for individuals of various fitness levels. These classes are often dynamic and challenging, offering a mix of exercises to keep participants engaged and motivated.

YOGA

Vinyasa Flow -- a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit "to place in a special way", vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow. Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twist.
